This is my list of the 5 most impressive games I played in 2011...I can say it was not that much of a bad year...
1. The Witcher 2 : Sequel to the Witcher.A great Action/RPG with a character driven story. Gerald of Rivia at his best. Good Combat System , great plot and story, awesome characters, multiple choices to end the game and Graphics that are absolutely gorgeous.
2. Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim : What anyone could expect by a Elder Scrolls game and even more. Good story, better battle system, immense amount of content and the most beautiful open world created in gaming history....
3. Shogun 2 : Total War : Total war series going back at its roots. Great gameplay finding the best balance between simplicity and depth, great graphics and re-designed mutliplayer. Followed by a great expansion.
4. Batman : Arkham City : The second iteration after the Arkham Asylum. Everything asylum was but in a open world including a Prison City where one can find everything that made the Dark Knight one of the most favorite characters. Unique game indeed.
5. L.A. Noire : Although I did not have much time to play this it is surely a unique game that I will return soon to finish. Slow paced, deliberate story progression and mechanics make for a great atmosphere for the world it tries to immerse you in. It succeeds.
